In direct contrast to my last entry, which (if I do say so myself) was extremely emo, what I'm writing now won't be. Sleep was pretty much all that my body needed. That and a half-pint of Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia. Mmmm. Mel and I stayed up kind of late last night (midnight-ish) talking and sharing feelings. All kindsa girly stuff. Back to my old semi-snarky and energetic self.
As a result of staying up late the previous night, I did not get the best amount of sleep possible. So when I turned my alarm off at 8:30 the next morning and rolled over, like I usually do, to have five minutes of down time before getting ready for class, I fell back to sleep. Which is kind of the suckage, since my first class starts at 9:10. Hey, it's a hell of a lot better than an 8:10 class, which I will NEVER do again unless it is vitally important to me getting my diploma.
By the graces of the angels in Heaven, Mel's alarm went off at 9:15. I get up, look at my alarm clock, say "Shit!" rather loudly, and throw on some clothing pell-nell. Long rant short, I got to class ok, no prof yelling at me.
We (being Mel, Claire L., Allen, and Lilly) decided to dye my hair last night. The "calico alley-cat in heat" look wasn't really doing it for me. What, you say? Cat in heat? Where did that come from? Well, Ant, the famous gay comedian, came to Hendrix and I made the serious mistake of sitting in the front row. He picked on everyone in the front row, and, as an added bonus, I got to go on stage to have him pick on me in front of about 80-100 other students.
For reference, I dyed my hair blue in the bathrooms here at Veasey. The dye job was a little botched. I came out kind of multi-colored. By the time Ant got here, the blue had faded and the yellow of the bleach made the remaining blue look green. I have some pictures of it that I'll share.

This is the finished product and the beaming owner of a decently ok dye job.

My friend Susanna and I at a local (amazing) restaurant for our mutual friend Becca's birthday.

The campus at sunset. I was feeling kind of artsy that afternoon so I grabbed my camera and set out.

For shits and giggles, my dear friend Ben post consuming an insane amount of wasabi and ginger. This is pretty much my happy picture.
So yeah.
Gonna go write another german essay and study for the test(s) on Monday. Get ready to eat Subway tonight, and brace myself for when Allen gets back from Derby Day. He'll have plenty to say, I have no doubt of that :)

Your icon is a tribute to Venture Brothers? It looks like it's from Labyrinth...
You'd have to watch Venture Bros. to get that David Bowie makes an acutal appearance in the final episode of the second season. (And he's totally badassss).
