I quit work today. Not for any seriously pressing issue like that I was being abused by my bosses or that my paychecks were becoming kindling to the department barbeque. No, the lab just can't keep me on the payroll since I'm not a student at MSU. It was very sad saying goodbye to all of the lovely people there. Knowing that Joe and James and Dr. Brown will not get to harass me all day just makes me sad inside.

On the much brighter side, I just got finished with my yearly Pap. Lord, that is one of the most surreal and strange experiences. This doctor's just chattin' it up with the nurse and I while she's performing the exam. Saying things like "How was college this year? Good. Oh, you're going to be an RA? Wow, I never did that. But you said you were going to be a psychology major, so I guess that fits" just does not quite seem to mesh with what she was doing. Yeesh. Glad that's over.

Weird, huh? I know.

But terribly exciting. I go back to Hendrix early, which is the best part, and see most of all the wonderful people whom I have been missing all summer long. Then I go through RA training. Still don't know quite how that's going to go, but cross your fingers.

Tomorrow's going to be the best though. I'm getting on a plane to go to Houston and see Allen!! :) Soooo excited about that. Three solid days with the beau.

I better go pack now. And go to bed early. Last night I watched 300, like, two times. What is sleep compared to lots of yelling and half-naked men?
